Plans & Limits

VoxelBench has a Free plan and two paid plans, Pro and Enterprise; hosting providers verified by VoxelBench get limits of their own. This page lists what each plan allows, from monitoring and alerts to uploads, the API and auto-bench, and how long your data is kept.

On Every Plan

The Free plan already lets you:

  • link servers and verify them (see Server Linking);
  • keep your benchmark and stress limit reports: 30 minutes when the server is not linked; once it is, 30 days on Free and 1 year on Pro, Enterprise or a hosting provider account;
  • send unit test results, kept until you delete them (see Unit Tests);
  • upload performance profiles and memory reports, within the limits below;
  • use the API with a token.

  • Monitored servers: past the limit, for example after a downgrade, only the most recently linked servers are accepted; turn monitoring off on another server to free a place.
  • Events are counted per server since midnight UTC; metric points per server over the last 24 hours. The plugin sends one point a minute by default, 1,440 a day, so the budget leaves room to catch up after an outage.
  • Profiles and memory reports: past the number or the age, the oldest go first. A server keeps at most 50 memory reports. A short summary of each profile is kept a year on every plan.
  • API and auto-bench: the details, including the hourly limit per token and how runs are counted, are in API and Tokens and Auto-bench on the Website.

Hosting provider limits apply to the accounts of a provider once VoxelBench has verified it: register your company to start.

Data Retention Details

Metrics

Monitoring data is automatically aggregated and cleaned up:

Data TypeResolutionRetention
Raw metrics~1/minute48 hours
5-minute aggregates1/5min7 days
1-hour aggregates1/hour30 days
1-day aggregates1/day1 year

Storage is the same on every plan. What differs is how far back you can read: 7 days on Pro, 30 days on Enterprise and on a hosting provider account.

Events

EventsRetention
Lifecycle, performance, benchmark, custom90 days
Security and moderation (they name players)7 days on Pro, 30 days on Enterprise, 7 days once your plan has lapsed

On a hosting provider account, security and moderation events are kept 30 days.

Resolved alerts are kept 90 days. The content of each notification (email or Discord) is kept only until it is delivered, 24 hours at most; the record that it was sent (channel, status, time) is kept 30 days. If your plan has lapsed and VoxelBench has accepted nothing from a server for 30 days, all of its measurements and events are deleted. Deleting a server, or your account, deletes all of its monitoring data at once.

Reports and Unit Tests

A report sent without a linked server is anonymous and expires after 30 minutes. A report linked to your account is kept 30 days on Free and 1 year on Pro and Enterprise (and on hosting provider accounts), counted from the day it was sent. Upgrading to Pro extends your existing reports to 1 year from the day each one was sent; going back to Free never shortens a report's date, and reports sent before this rule keep their 6-month date. Certified reports, reports attached to a hosting offer and reports measured by VoxelBench do not expire. Your list of reports shows the time each one has left. Unit test results have no expiration: they stay until you delete them.

Rate Limits

WhatLimit
Metric submissions10 requests per minute per server, 60 points each at most
Heartbeats4 requests per minute per server
Event submissions60 requests per minute per server
Challenge requests (one before each signed request: report, unit test, run validation, profile or memory report share)150 per hour per IP address
Benchmark reports24 per hour per linked server, and 60 per hour per IP address
Unit test results30 per hour per server, and 60 per hour per IP address

Reports and unit test results are counted separately. The per-server budget lets a full batch of runs through within the hour: an auto-bench job or /bench start sends at most 20 reports. The per-address budget applies before the server is identified, so every server behind the same outgoing address shares it; a server that is not linked has only this one.

Notification Channels

Alerts need a plan that includes monitoring. Each rule chooses its channels:

ChannelSetup
In-appAlways on. Notifications appear under the bell icon.
EmailTurned on per rule. Sent to your account's email address.
DiscordTurned on per rule. Needs a Discord Webhook URL in the server's settings (Notifications tab), which does not depend on Notify on new report.

See Metric Alert Rules for delivery, retries and test notifications.

Changing Plan

Your current plan is shown in Dashboard โ†’ Profile & settings โ†’ Subscription. Once subscriptions are open, this is where you upgrade, and where a subscriber manages payment, invoices and cancellation; until then, the tab says that subscriptions are coming soon. Enterprise is on request: write to us from the Contact page.
